I bought a 3 pack orbi mesh system from costco. It was about 450.00. The system is amazing. All of my wifi woes are gone. 36 items connect to this. Ring, nest, game systems, phones, tvs, etc. Unbelievable performance. One on each floor. I needed a fourth one for outside even though wifi is decent as it is. Have a nice stero system, tv, and alexa outside and want top performance. 276.00 for an extra satelite. Wow. Expensive but it is what it is if you want quality. I also want to add that whomever is leaving a bad review, either does not have great service/modem or just does not have technical skills for this easy set up system. Or they have 12inch concrete walls in their home. Thats the only reason I can see why it would be flawless for me and questionable for others. I do also have a 400MBPM download service from Infinity. Not sure why they are having problems.
Overall good results. Able to regularly get over 900 Mbps on Wifi channel. Good basic router performance as well - wired and wifi in two story house. No dead spots in Wifi. Only complaint, no separating the 2.4g and 5g connections.
My wifi has been killing us (especially with both my husband and I working from home + kid in virtual learning, security cameras, multiple devices etc.) Our older wi fi router was giving us 15-30 speed (we pay for 400). As soon as we connected this bad boy, it shot up to over 400 and has stayed consistently over 400 across all the devices. What an AMAZING difference. Highly recommend
I bought the RBR750 with the hopes of replacing my Actiontek T3200 that came with my gigabit internet subscription with Windstream (and that I am billed about $10/month for, which I wanted to avoid). I was not sure that this would do the job, but figured I'd try it in router mode and if that didn't work I'd just use it in AP mode and keep the Actiontek and just expand my coverage. When I first began to set things up, initially I was trying to bypass the phone-app quick setup, because I wanted to go straight to router mode first. Well I finally decided you have to go through the app either way, but then I just could change the mode in the advanced setup from my PC. Well get this, the mobile setup mode automatically set it up as a router without me having to tell it to. It showed that it was authenticating to my ISP, and broadcasting the new SSID I set up. At that point I merely disconnected the WAN cable from the T3200 and plugged it straight into the Orbi's WAN port, and it continued to work. Excellent! So not I can send the T3200 back to Windstream and avoid that $10 / month. The connection speeds are blazing fast too. MUCH faster than before, even upstairs in my house where the satellite unit is located. I'm very impressed! These devices have come a long way in the past few years. Loving all of the cool things you can do in the Orbi app as well. My wife bought this and at first I thought it was a bit pricey.. But after seeing what it does, I can tell you it is worth every penny, especially if you have a large coverage area. I highly recommend Orbi!
This system solved our dead spot issues and more than doubled our WiFi speeds! We were subscribed to a 400 Mbps plan and our WiFi speeds were a mediocre 100 Mbps at best with our prior Linksys 1900ac router. After completing the simple set up which took less than 5 minutes problem solved! Speeds between 360 Mbps at the farthest reaches of my house and up to 479 Mbps closer to the units. Very happy with this system!
